Chiang Mai Day 4
Basically there are a lot of Elephant Camps in Chiang Mai.
The biggest one shud be Maesae Elephant Camp.
We joined with other people for this itinerary, a couple from Oman, a Swedish lady, 2 denmark ladies...
Took us 1.5 hours to reach the camp.
The event started with Elephant Show.
The show was about 1 hour I think but it seems ages for me.
Kinda bored toward the middle of the show.
Then we have fun under noon hot sun riding the elephant..
it is very very hot!
We ride for 1 hour.
Then continue to the lunch destination with Ox-Cart riding.
WOW... this OX cart riding is damn "painful"..
the wheels are made by wood... is its hard & SOLID..
rolled over the uneven road without suspension & cushion
the buttock.. the body.. knocking here and there..
aching man..
After lunch we went for Bamboo Rafting.
Half way through it started to drizzling..
Well, still kinda fun...
We then continue the journey to Orchid farm.
after about 30min enjoying snapping orchid photos..
only i realised not all are real.....&^&*^&%^%
There is butterflies farm together...
but no butterfly though.
Penang's butterfly farm sure lots better... got fishes somemore!!
We paid additional 200baht/pax for the snake show...
WA...what a big disappoinment...
it only thought you how to catch snake..
show u a small python, 2 cobras,3 water snake...
The Oman couple got excited..
The decided to go for monkey show...
and they really satisfied with it...
keep asking us why aint we go...
it is fantastic for them...
They never see monkey before...
finally end of the itinerary...
I went straight to massage again....
hahahahaaa...enjoy... and enjoying....
** Photos are available at Photo Album...
Lazy...lazying..

The X-Files I want to Believe
I watched The X-Files I want to Believe.
Free tickets courtesy of BG from excapebytes promotion.. haha ..YIPPIE.
I have read a few reviews before going for the show.
None the rating and review was positive about it...
so I reserve my expectation on the show...
I watched X-File series before..
and I thought it was really nice..
Even though I the part 1 movie was sux.
since I am getting free tickets why not watch it in the cinema.. =p
and I gotta say I have no regret spending the 1 hr 45 minutes
sitting 4th row from screen
Anderson (Dana Scully) and Duchovny (Fox Mulder)…
the X Files actor & actress are great...
they bring alive the 2 main characters, Scully & Mulder...
the affection, the passion that they possess..
The differences and stubbornness believe that they hold...
The differences between both and how they get along...
the plot was OK though...
I less care how they create the modern Frankenstein although it kinda 'interesting'
May be I enjoyed the emotion evolution between the characters more.....
The appearance of Skinner toward the end got me in surprise..
and the feeling was great, like meeting an old fren....
though he is in the movie.... =p
Well…yeah…X-File. Great… =p
I enjoy the movie more than Dark Knight actually… haha

Chiang Mai Day 2
The itinerary is visiting home industries & Wat Doi Suthep.
Started at 0830. We started visiting
1. Silk Factory
2. Gem
3. Silverware
4. Home Deco/Home collection
5. Honey Outlet
6. Umbrella Painting
After lunch only we visited to the main attraction for the day.. the Doi Suthep temple.
what a day.. been "wasted"..
However I think each family was still happy by visiting to the honey outlet. At least we brought something back with us.
At least we think we hit a good bargain and the honey dealer were happy...
My tour guide could be happy as well.... =p
Everyone happy...
However..
Somehow I think my dad kinda disappointed with Wat Doi Suthep.
because he thought that he will see with his own eyes the relic..
actually i thought that too...
And only now I realised I have missed the white elephant..
My tour guide...didnt do his job... >:* Hellooo.. what not money worth trip.. u paid only 60 bucks.. oopps i mean 60baht per person le... and Doi Suthep itself is 15km away from town and private tour le..

Aging
my god!
I felt like i am having Osteoporosis already.
After, day after day practice, training, compete, tournament, then repeating the cyclen again and again...
then then vacationing, then gathering.. then outing, then tournanment....
few weeks later, now, i totally burn out...
and amazingly the weight maintained... which is real sux!!
OK...
The whole thing started on a fine weekend of Jun 21, 22
During the EURO2008 fever.
I have my futsal tournament.
Oh gosh... the games were unexpectedly exhausting.
I almost out of breath after my first match...
..and got a duck!...
Thanks to me, a lazy striker.
Previously I thought. the futsal field was small.
So yea it should be easy to run.
However when I reached there...
the field size is like 2 times bigger than what i have imagined..
not only that...
and apparently I thought I am big size and strong enuff,
can knocked pple down...(sound like playing rugby)
hell...everytime when i hit on my opponents... oh my....
they are like kung fu panda..
..learnt chinese kung fu...
the 'zha ma'..damn good...
they are still standing tall and stable...
but i saw lot stars...
well, not at all that bad..
i did manage to 'revenge' on other smaller size than me...
although we flied apart after the impact..
they ended as champion though...
this game is kinda hard to explain...
Bully lost of course...
After futsal we trained hard, practiced hard...
prepared for yet another tournament on following weekend.
Badminton Tournament.(Jun 28,29)
Well, at least this is not rugby..
just swing the racquat will do... like hitting flies...
sound relax?
ya right....
it is still tiring...
it is hot
walking up and down tried to adjust the game slot..
but anyway my partner would be more more tiring by covering my ass....haha
this tournament continue for another weekend (Jul 31,1).
Lucky or not...at least i didnt play till the very last day.... hehe
2 days later it was my vacation time (Jul 9)
Chucked behind everything...
I flew down to KL then Chiang Mai
It is kinda tired for the first day.....
mmmm....no...it is very tired....
Thanks to Air Asia..
making me woke up early in the morning,
then let me waited at LCCT for 5 hours..
And since my dad get really excited with the night bazaar..
I accompanied him to walk the night bazaar up and down everynite...
Yeah it was fun..
I spent 4n5d there...
after returning from vacation...
Wow...i have yet another party...
Department outing on Jul 18,19 to Damai Laut..
by now... my life is real happening...for the pass few weeks..
All sort of things keep coming in...
never have been so happening before in Penang...
Another late night weekend...
Drink, game, drunk, so much laughter...
and we have sometimes to forgot the reality...(anyway nothing much about reality)
What a good team buidling outing..
totally beyond barrier..
making others jealous..
returning from gathering...
here started the 3on3 tournament for 3 nites ...
yeah 3 nites... i got myself into playoff..semi...
ahhh....no final this year... aha.... yaya...
We lost... I lost
I didnt ran, i didnt hit (shot) on target..
I didnt passed well...all sorts...
anyway it was fun...and..
yaya... sign of aging....
Finally everything is over...
Finally... take a deep breath....
*phew*
I actually felt a relief ... kinda weird..
ooooo.....ya... after skipping 2 weeks swimming lesson..
I need to pick up...
practice harder...
by the way I am learning swimming now...beginner...
My trainer keep telling me...
remember...
close-up, heads-up, breath....
and smile inside the water... and relax while swimming!!!!!
RELAX & RELIEF!!

Golden Triangle
1. Chiang Rai Hot spring, Wat Rong Khum, Golden Triangle, Opium Muzium, Lunch, Maesai (Mynmar/Thailand border), the hill tribe village
I actually felt greatful that driver and tour guide turn out... =p
At about 0830 we reached at Chiang Rai Hot Spring. It is just right beside the road.
The water is hot. It is unlike Malaysia where you can 'soak' urself in the hotspring.
This one you can only see & may be touch. But sure you can buy some eggs and cook.
There are a lot of shops selling souvenirs.
Travel another 1.5 hour we reached at Wat Rong Khum.
Visiting to this temple is my request.
So we didnt visit to the Acient city.
And the trip became a privare tour.
Wat Rong Khum also known as The Silver Temple.
A very beautiful and unique design temple.
Then we departed to Golden triangle.
Whe we reached at golden triangle it is already noon.
Under the hot sun the tour guide told us the brief history of GOLDEN TRIANGLE.
And we paid 300baht each to board the long tail boat go around the golden triangle.
We can see Mynmar Paradise Casino from the boat.
We were allowed to disembark at Laos by paying 20baht.
So I can declare that i have been to Laos. =p
The specialty in Laos Market is their homemade whisky.
Soak with cobra or snakes in the bottle. S, M, L, XL. Any size you want.
I saw something special.
It is like our domestic market where ppl started selling gold fish.
They tempt to put fishes inside the plastic bag.
So i saw something similar at Laos Market.
I examine the plastic bag carefully try to find the reason why at tourist area they are selling pet fish. And what so special about it.. It is real special...
I saw no fish in the plastic bag but just crystal clear water.
Curious. I asked with half pass thai "Ni alai ka"
The lady answer 'WHISKY'...
????????
Then we visited the Opium Muzeum.
Our tour guide didnt talked much about the Opium Muzeum.
So the trip in the Muzeum is dull and boring.
Maesai basically has nothing.
It is just another milestone for you to show to your fren 'Hey, I have been here.'
"The northern most of Thailand".
Unfortunately u cant cross the boarder to enter to mynmar.
We reached The Hill Tribe Village at about 430pm.
About some greenish 1.h hour mountain drive.
We visited the long neck, Karen tribe.
the big ear,the Akha.
We supposed to see 4 tribes.
I forgot what is the other one.
The area is mush been commercialise although it is so remote.
These tribe pple are not Thailander originally.
They migrate from Mynmar.
They have no status in Thailander.
They are so poor and holding just working visa status in thailand.
Today we reached hotel at 900pm.
i blur...we going thru 3 hours mountain winding road...
Another good nite.

Chiang Mai - Day 1
dont know what time.
With stormy stamach, and tired face...
I spotted a taxi sign at a counter behind the baggage claim area.
Walked over to the counter.
I supposed to ask for a taxi voucher instead the guy started introduced me some tour itineries.
All with promotion price.
Somehow it attracts me but I was debating within myself.
Shud I listen to him or shud I listen to my stomach.
But he is too nice, non-stop. no chance is given to me..
and i was too good to be a listener..
At the time we almost going to close the deal and me headed for some food hunt,
a couple chipped in.
They are interested too.. and .. so we go all over again.
By then my stomach stopped drumming.
We renegotiated the whole itineries all over again to accomodate each other need.
Finally after about more than 30min..could be 1 hour,
We concluded the 3 days itenery deal for RM280/pax free airport transfer.
We reached Suriwongse hotel at about 330pm.
I was so tire after spending my whole morning waiting for the 'retimed' flight to Chiang Mai.
Air Asia used the word RETIMED instead of DELAYED.
The flight got RETIMED from 0850 to 1100. So we didnt get any compensation.
It is RETIMED because they sent me a notification at around 0530.
Heck! that was while i already on my way came to LCCT to catch the 2 hours check in time. kns.
Then it was DELAYED from 1100 to 1130 because we wasnt being pre informed. clk.
Anyway my father was tireless.
He got excited to learn that we were staying at the heart of the famous night bazaar area...
He is so energetic it is almost instantly after we settle in the hotel room.He asked to go jalan-jalan.
I opened my big eyes...
'Dad, can we please rest for a while.
In fact there are nothing down there now. The night bazaar will only start at 6pm'.'
In the end we still get down to the street ahead of the night bazaar operation hour by 30min.
Some Night Bazaar Products
Fish Hot Pot (Hu Lor)
So I remembered Starview's Hor Lor. 1 stone 2 birds!
I have been there once early this year for a gathering lunch.
This is my 2nd visit there for Hu Lor it tasted a lot nice that my 1st visit.
Hor lor is 1 of the starview famous dishes.
So what is Hor lor?
The Hot Pot fish soup is very tasty although a bit oily. There are Taufu inside the soup. This Hot Pot cost RM55 depending on the fish. I forgotten what fish we were having. The serving shud be just nice for 3? because it was too much for us (2pax).
So here is Starview Restaurant. Located at Jalan Burma. Right beside Chow Tian Yan Aquarium.

I survive..thanks god...
I landed safely at Penang International Airport.
I was on boarding AK 6318 1110 LCCT-Penang flight.
It was a rough 1 hour journey.
When it first took off.
The flight swayed and shake a bit.
It flied unstable up and 'drop'..
causing anxiousness in the air...
passengers making uneasiness noice..
like riding roller coaster..for a few minutes...
then everything became normal until about 30 minutes later...
despite the pre announcement of facing some turbulence..
yet...
the passengers still caught off guard..
it shake violently and with a sharp dropped..
we forgot to scream...gripping hard on the chair..sat tight and pray
the kid sitting next row...
started crying...
passanger seated in front vomitting hard...
i was searching for a watch...for the time...
the landing time...
it announced that it will land shortly...
that shortly was about 30 min... kns
at about 12pm we still yet to see the sight of green...
thru the small windows.. we saw white and grey intermintantly
Phew....finally it landed...just before it touched...
i have my final 'prayer'..
"please touch the runaway...."
...PHEW...
