想以有了一段距离。。

当这距离有所变化时。。

Introduce to you a new technology and new product..if you not already knew..

Its fantastic and amusing..
Dyson Air Multiplier, a fan, 风扇, kipas.

What so amusing about it?
because it is a fan with no blades, no buffeting.

so how does it work?

Instead the air is driven up into the ring-shape you can see in the picture. The jet of air created passes over an airfoil ramp that channels its direction. Added to this is the fact that the surrounding air is drawn into this flow of air, combining to amplify the flow of air by a factor of 15. The Dyson fluid dynamic engineers call this process of amplification 'inducement and entrainment' - something they know well in relation to the Air Multiplier, as they ran hundreds of simulations to map the air flow

越南牛腩面

牛肉面,个人最爱,
其中越南牛腩面更是爱不释手。。

每每吃牛腩面他让我想起了sydney的味道。。
sydney的越南牛腩面最棒。。这是。。
我吃牛腩面口头谈
我就是那么很死心眼。。很牛吧。。

若干年后。。
我想再去品尝,回味。。
一试。。
再试。。
正么没那种很满足,很享受的感觉?
想念变味了。。

多一口
在寻找那所为的不同。。
没有。。
现在的它不再那么的不同。。
不是那么独特。。
它应有的独特,在没有长年,一路来的品尝回味下被淡化了。。
这思念的味道,不再是那么独特。。

同样的。。
在许多生活与事务中。。
长时间没被培养我们也变得陌生,
感情变质,冲淡。。

小时候,
我很喜欢吃家乡里的一种水果。。
那是我个人的最爱。。
每当水果季节到来,父亲就会买很多给我吃。。
是饭后水果中不可缺的。。
留学时,在我记忆里,心里。。
它还是最好吃的水果,最爱,很怀念。。
几年后,当回到家乡有幸再吃到后。。
那味道,已不同了。。
水果季节。。
虽然我还会怀念,但你可有可无。。

有点感慨。。
人,感情近似如此。。

A man came home from work and his children ran to him and called out ‘Ayah! Ayah!’.
His neighbor got very upset and said to him, “Can you please tell your children not to call you ‘Ayah’?”

The man asked, “Why?”

The neighbor retorted, “Because my children call me ’Ayah’ too. They might get confused and mistake you to be their father.”

The man told his neighbour, "are you saying that your children is so stupid that they don't know who is their 'Ayah'".

The neighbour : "ummm...... NO!! They are not stupid!! They might just get confused!!"

The Man : "If they are not stupid, then there must be something wrong with your teaching!!"

The neighbour : There is nothing wrong with my teaching!! I just don’t want my children to get confused!!

The Man : "So you are saying by using the word 'Ayah' , your children will call me Ayah too without knowing who is their father?"

The neighbour said : "yes, That is why your children should stop calling you 'Ayah'!"

The Man "But children from all over are using the word ayah and no one has any problem"

The neighbour: " I dont care about others, but my children might get confuse!!"

The man: "Look, I was a father way before you becoming one, my children has been calling me ayah way before you have kids!" "

"Retiree" Hours

Practicing 'pensioner' life..
Relaxing at Winter Warmers Coffee & Tea House..
searching the peace of mind..
and calm of soul..

Though with the tropical hot & humid weather,
sometimes I still prefer outdoor seats..
Enjoying the the natural sunlight & breeze..
the only drawback would be 2nd hand smoke, hazadours to the health..

Been to Winter Warmer once for tea break..
It registered in my memory as a very nice place..
I cant recall what has impressed me..
so am here for my lunch break..
Lunch Set tuna waffle + tea..

Do I have the look of coffee drinker instead of tea?
While taking order the waiter asked me twice
"Do you want to change the drink?"

Winter Warmers doesnt sound like a name for coffee..
I thanks for the offer.
Starbucks just next door. Anytime..

WWCTH  Tuna Waffle

The tuna waffle is BIG ..
I thought of asking my next door patron if he would like to join me.. :-p
Well, that would be awkward thinking,
So the idea stay in my mind till I finished the meal.
It was a delicious tuna waffle..

Enjoying the darjeeling black tea while reading the magazine I just bough..
Once a while enjoying the colorful crowd passing by.
Pretty and handsome. Old and young.

What made Winter Warmers so special?
hahaha...
The waiters are friendly.
They are all waiters.. no sight of waitress.. :-p
Importantly they all have sweat smile and handsome looked. hahahaha
They are humour too and kind hearted..
The way they present themselves..
Very relaxing and sunshine..
(i saw one or two of them so..
i assume all waiters are like that la :-p)

A worthy lunch... :-p

Then, 2 pretty teenagers join me, they sit next table..
I am glad to see there are pple (females) who shared the same thought like me choosing outdoor seat..

Well.. not long my enjoyment turn into 'day'mare..
which ended my lunch break earlier..

One of them is smoker..
seriously polluted my peaceful breeze
so i think we do not share the same enjoyment..

Delectable Su’s Style Braised Pork


I woke up with a very upbeat mood..

I went to market to choose a nice piece of steaky pork. ooppss. 2 slices.
The instruction is minimum 1 kg in order to maintain the good taste.
Anyway i bought enuff only for me..

Next i went to source for the vinegar. This is funny..
the shopkeeper: "Lady which type? u want the sharkfin one or cook pork leg one?"
oopppsss... i don know.. yesterday i almost bought apple vinegar.. hahahaa
sharkfin type is sour type..
pork leg type is less sour.. sweat..

He saw the pork.. "you cook pork leg?"
"Well, i am not cooking pork leg exactly.. well pork. SO i believe its same"
so i got my pork leg sweet vinegar.

YAY.. the cooking mood come.. :)

I remember my brother told me about 绝对的诱惑——正宗苏式红烧肉..
Delectable Su's style Xiu Yok.
the Su's style is just coincidental name with my family name.. :)

Very simple ingredient & preparation

1. 五花肉 steaky pork
2. 黑甜醋 Sweat Vinegar
3. 老抽 Sweat dark soya source
3. 料酒 cooking wine
4. 冰糖 rock sugar

when i got home.. immediately called to verify with my bro (expensive cooking lesson).. :-p
phew got the right vinegar.
But it was a very big bottle. 1 litle.
Anyway the shopkeeper commented..
pork leg need a lot vinegar. Half bottle will gone. So i should be fine with the big bottle

I cleaned the pork chopped into dices as big as mahjong piece.
Don't be small. Because it ll break into bits and pieces. It is a long cooking process.
Soak it with water and wine.
tips: soak with wine will remove the pork smell and absort the meat fibre.
cannot be long about 15 min. Otherwise it will lost it freshness.

Cleaned it and put into work.
Covered with water, Added in in wine (if no wine brandy will do). How much?
I really don know.. i just add. I think got at least half a cup. :-p
then add in vinegar. I read on..

.. half spoon...

"WAT??? HALF? HALF SPOON?"

I bought 1 big bottle and u said HALF SPOON? #$%^&*()#@!

Oookieee.. fine since i bought a big bottle.. so i added in 2 spoons.. :-p
then started with big fire and boilt. abt 30min.
then turned into very small fire stewed/braised it.
it was not really boiling it.. opened the cover..slowly keeping it warm
this process called "焐" [wù]. took about 1 hour or more..
The longer the better.
during the boiling process.. filtered away the bubbles..
to make the source clean and "clear"..

Test the meat with a chopstick. If u can easily pop into the meat with a chopstick.
Thats mean it is ready.
Start addin in soya source. DARK and SWEET soya source please.
turn on the fire a bit, not too big.

until the meat changed into soya color (darker brown) 20-30min
then addin rock sugar.
Sugar will make the source become steaky..
to stir a bit and it is ready to be served... :)

This dish should be sweet not sour... so not apple vineger.
and addin more sugar.
How much soya source? Dont know.. gut feel..this is call cooking!!

the result...
not bad huh? :)

Hospital Joke

Finally step into the hospital again..
the last time I were in hospital for my own good was 7 years back..

so wasnt too familiar with procedure..
i only know..
I need pre-admission then do scanning.
so.. here is the conversation while preparing doc for pre-admission
between the nurse and me

Me: "What time i should come?"
Nurse: "I will check with the insurance co, if they approved this"
Me : "OK"
Nurse: "Tomorrow here half day. I will check. Then i will give you a call"
Me : "OK."

though i said OK but in my mind it was like hundred of ???.

So i asked again.
Me :" so if they reject i need not to come?"

LOL..... i wasnt feel so funny abt it when i asked..
it was only after i came out from the Hospital..
when i thought it back.. i really feel funny myself..
i don know what the nurse think..
may be she think "huh? this is nothing to do with approve or not.. its all depend on you.. wanna come and pay for it.. " :-p

i think she really felt amused or shock..

i remember her replied... "i will tell you if they approved or reject.if reject you have to make a decision."

hehehee..
excuse me.. i really never thought of it..
the previous time i admitted was emergency.. :-p

bad thing about medical card.. :-p
last time i need not to gone throught this hassle..

血拼 14 Hours @ Hatyai

i think thailand and me 情有独钟。。
for the passed 4 years i have enter into various parts of thailand..
phuket, bangkok,chiang mai and just recently i have a day trip to Hatyai...

血拼 14 HOurs @ Hatyai
It was a spontaneous trip calling up by my fren..
i plainly agreed despite the pile of bugs list in the project..

on the eve of the trip i started having doubt about it..
pre-trip panic symptom.. :-p
i was hesitated what the hell am I doing?
gotta wake up at 5am??!!
which potentially ended up in a road jam for most if the time..
that is torturing...!!!

anyway.. it seems the angel of mine has work mightyly..
i had awaken up in between the sleep to checked the clock..
and i managed to wake up by 5am..
i am excited... :)

615 we departed from Prai...
All the way...
kinda scary roaming along the deserted highway..with darkness engulfing us..
ya deserted.. not many car as i expected..
the traffic amazingly smooth..

We reached somewhere around Sintok/Kodiang at 730am..
the driver need to stop and buy insurance from a groceries shop..
we exchanged money there too..
which has a better rate as compare to penang..

We then having our 1st meal at "Thailand", chicken rice at Sadao at 9am.
The driver said its the best chicken rice in town and famous among the travellers...so must try..
well.. the verdict is.. ehem.. probably can compare to penang one..
but.. the driver forgotten that he is fetching passengers from Ipoh and Malacca..
So ... i gotta said we have different taste bud..Totally..
The shop is called Da Tong (大同),
a short distance after Sadao check point...

we were in center of Hatyai 30-40min later..
and thats where we started our first activity of the day..
shopping.. the pasar pagi...
i never thought i would do a lot of shopping there..
well... i think i enjoyed it much better as compare to bangkok..
hahahahaa

we went to visit temples, eating thai food,fate floating market and massage...
before we conclude the trip..
we savour ourself with Swensen Ice Cream and McDonald Port Burger..
Apparently my frens said.. Swensen there are cheaper and have more variaty..
there was once they spend all their money in Swensen..:)

The good thing is I enjoy the trip and we never stop action"ing"...
and we never waste the day... :)
we keep working, looking, eating, buying... :-p

and you will never believe this..
We came back with few boxes of instant noddle/Bee hoon/dong fen.. the famous MAMA..

and the best part is.. we just found out that...
the instant noddle life spam is actually very short..
6 months ONLY!!!
Thats's amazing.. can you believe it?
